Registration Fee:  $20.00 per child (for books and supplies)

 

Agiasmos: September 13th – Pews will be saved in front for children. There will be no classes this day; students will remain in church.

Sunday School Policies and Procedures

 

  1. Age Eligibility-Children, three years of age by September 30th, who can adapt to a classroom situation, may enroll in the Sunday School Preschool Program. Students must also be toilet trained and able to remain in the classroom without a parent. 

  

  1. Sunday Schedule for Grades Preschool through 1st- Students should report to their Sunday School classroom by 10:00a.m. each Sunday. Preschool through 1st grade students will begin their lessons at this time and remain in their classrooms until it is time to receive Holy Communion, at which time their teachers will escort them into church to receive Holy Communion and then they will return to their classrooms.  Students will be dismissed at 12:15p.m by the ringing of the bell. If someone other than the parent or grandparent will be picking up your child, please let the teacher know when your child is dropped off

 

  1. Sunday Schedule for Grades 2nd through 9th- Students should report to their Sunday School classroom by 10:00a.m. each Sunday. Students in grades 2-9 will do a brief lesson at this time and will then be escorted into the Church by their teachers at about 10:20 a.m. They will arrive for the Divine Liturgy just prior to the reading of the Epistle in English. Following the reading of the Gospel, Fr. Dean will give a brief children’s sermon and speak to the Sunday School students. These students will remain for the Divine Liturgy until after Holy Communion at which time, they will receive their Andithoron and return to their classrooms to resume their lesson. Classes will be dismissed at 12:15 p.m. each Sunday by the ringing of the bell (if the Divine Liturgy runs past this time, students will be held until church is out). No child shall be released prior to dismissal, unless a parent has notified the teacher at the beginning of that class. 

 

  1. Attendance Awards- Students may earn pins each year for regular attendance by missing no more than 3 Sundays. If a student attends Church/Sunday School at another Greek Orthodox Church, they shall obtain a note of attendance from that Church in order to receive credit for that day. Perfect Attendance Awards will be given to students who have no absences.
